Look up the p/n for an anodized aluminum grille in the parts catalog to see what Ford did: 1968 Custom Cab/Ranger and 1969 Custom Cab.
I believe the 1969 Ranger grille part number C9TZ8200A is the only one that had the indentation along the center horizontal grille bar. I don't believe the 1968 and 69 exc. Ranger bright finish grille part number C8TZ8200E had it. 1st because that's the way I remember it. And 2nd, the original (to me) bright grille in my own 68 Ranger didn't have it.

I forgot to mention the C8TZ8200E looks just like the 69 C9TZ8200A grille except for the indentation. Only Ford painted black in key places on it to make the horizontal grille bars to seem held in mid air. So for the 1969 ranger grille, Ford added the indentation and deleted using the black paint.
