Air Suspension
I usually ride about mid height. A much better ride than leaf springs. Handles loads without notice and tows well. Nice on dirt roads and for getting around the property.
Haven't done much off roading and I really haven't really used it to it's full potential.
New, it came close to $10,000 for front, back, and on board pump. One of the advantages of buying a used truck. I didn't pay for it. On the downside, I'm getting a slight clunk in the front end. Trying to figure it out. Haven't found anything major. Just a little more complicated. Something I would dream of, but never buy due to the expense.
Yes, they drilled into the frame. It's attached to the flange as well. Done by the original owner when it was new, there are no signs of frame fatigue.
I do get a lot of comments, especially when I pull out the stepladder to get mom in.
Looks like undercoating may be my next project.

Current tires; 35 12.5 17
Replacing those Coopers. They’ve done me fairly well. I can’t buy the same tire because they’re the wrong load index/range.
A second tire shop is telling me I need tires rated for 80psi.
Seventeen inch rims limit my choices to the more aggressive mt’s. Not great for wet pavement and ice.
Pavement and ranch use. No real off-roading.
Moving up to 18 or 20 inch rims gives me greater choice, yet most remain in the 65psi range.
I think I prefer the Duratracs, but they’re 65psi.
Looking like it will cost me an extra grand. I’m just here to cry....
Not really. Looking for ideas and suggestions. Tire choices. Wheel choices? Offset?

Why does 17" wheels limit your choices to mud terrains? You should be able to buy 35x12.50x17 in just about any tire made for trucks like these? I know BFG has this size in all terrains, along with Nitto, Toyo, Cooper, and many more I'm sure. That is about the most popular size tire other than stock.
EDIT: I see now your issue. You are looking for Load Range E I guess, so yea you do have to finagle rim sizes some. But you could go with 37s and get load range E with 17" rims.
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
Trying to find a 35 12.5 E with max 80 psi is daunting. Most are 65 psi.
Toyo makes an 18” MT and Nitto has the the Terra, the Trail, and the Ridge Grippers in that size with an “F” rating 80 psi.
Fuel makes a 3700# rated 10 9 8-170 rim with a 1mm offset.
Ridge Grippers and rims.
$2,500 mounted and shipped. About twice my budget.
Not sure about the offset.
Stock 7” rims have a 6.3 offset. With 9” rims, if I’m figuring correctly, I’d need a -20 offset?
Thanks all!
