one of my injection lines broke and i need to replace it. the van is an 85 E350 6.9 but a few years ago I had replaced the injection pump with one from a 7.3. For some reason I thought I remembered that the lines were slightly different on the replacement pump, but when I'm looking at lines for sale on eBay it is saying that they are interchangeable. anyone have thoughts on that?
also, the line that snapped is the front most injector on the drivers side. which injector # is that?
7.3 lines should be the same, with the exception of cylinder #1 on trucks, and #4 on vans. Those had the timing adapter that was added to the 7.3's and requires a slightly shorter line on that one cylinder to compensate. If you are not running the timing adapter, a #1 line from a van would work on a truck, and a #4 line from a truck would work on a van.
