Checking oil, stupid question

I have this every time with this blessed thing after I change the oil, add the correct amount, go for test drive and then check soon after, after it's been sitting for a little bit of course and it's mid level.
Without fail, when I do a mid interval check it's always up near the top of the full mark. It's not making fuel in the oil, no hint of fuel smell and never goes up above that high mark.
Signed,
Perplexed.

One thing to add, the bracket that holds the dipstick tube is broke so it can move around a little bit, in other words I have to kind of hold the tube a little more upright so I don't push it down resulting in a really overfull reading.

There are only 2 possible reasons.

Either your dipstick is not dipsticking consistently, or you're getting fuel in the oil.
