Hey guys, I've got a 2006 6.0. So whenever the temperature dropped a little bit I started getting an engine light. Truck has been a little sluggish to start since I got it 9 months ago but never threw a code until the temp started to drop. Every time I get 2 codes, glow plug open circuit on cylinders 4 and 8. I finally replaced the plugs last week, 8 new plugs and replaced both harnesses. It cranked fine with no codes the first 3 or 4 times until I went to leave work today, and both codes popped up again. Is it possible it's my glow plug controller/actuator (whatever it's called) ? Any input would be great.
I agree with ^^^^
Your at the point where about the only thing you can do is swap one in to see.
It's too bad that will cost money to test. But before you do a swap pop the one
in the truck out and have a look at the pins and the plug too. Your looking for
any green fuzz on either one of the connections. You should be able to clean them
up with contact spray cleaner and then give them a coating of dielectric grease
to keep any moisture from getting back into the connections.
Got some PDFs for you to look at. If you need more info just ask.

Thank you im sure those PDFs will come in handy, I don't have any shop manuals or anything so I'm basically guessing and throwing parts at it.
