Hey there ladies and gents, im currently hooking up the wiring on my EFI upgrade (pics coming tonight!) and im hoping someone can help me out.
I have one wire that needs to be wired to the "key" (i assume this is the on position, as to power the unit), and im not sure which wire to plus this one onto. There are six to choose from:
Red with blue stripe
Red
Yellow
Pink
Black (assuming this is a ground)
and....brown? pic below.
Please help, as this is the last of two wires before i can program the unit! And as always thank you!
Faded Pink (tan) is coil power, red with blue is starter solenoid trigger (I think). The light blue that connects with the pink (tan) one is a "throttle solenoind" if I remember right. It might be right to use for key on power.
Fordification has the master wiring diagrams in image form available for download.
This is all off memory from when I rewired my ignition a couple years ago... so it may not be 100% accurate.

i will check fordification, i have alot of difficulty with wiring diagrams, so ill see what i can do. electrical is my least favorite part haha.
If your ignition switch has the newer spade type of terminals (and not the round pins) the Black (or black with green stripe) wire is the ACC wire. The Yellow is the BAT wire.
Just use a simple test light or a volt meter and probe the back side of the ignition switch plug when to turn the switch on & off. Try the yellow one first, I think it leads into a tri terminal that you can plug into if, I remember correctly. But age fills ones head with cob webs to the point of CRS as times.

Looking at the "other" site's diagram, it looks like the red/green and pink wires should both go to the same terminal on the switch. IF you have a gauge cluster and not idiot lights. That is the terminal I would add a wire to for 12V in "Run". Looks like the black (with green BTW) powers bunch of stuff in the dash. So I'd leave that one alone.
