Ok here's the story, I have a 2000 f250 crew cab that I rolled on black ice earlier this week. I know where there is a 97 f350 that is a rolling chassis, so no engine trans or t-case. Was originally a 7.3 but all that's gone. Does anyone know if I can take all my drive train from my 2000 and drop it into the 97? I know I would have to build an e-fuel set up and figure out a way to intercool. But I'm thinking those may be the least of my worries. Let me know what I'm looking at.
Sorry to hear about your truck. Anything can be done with enough fabrication. I would think that the motor and trans would be the same as in the obs, and since the obs was a diesel, things like the rad supports should line up. The only thing im not sure would line up would be the electronics, like the gauge cluster. Do you have emissions in your state?
Yes they're both auto trucks. I did stop and look at it again today. They unplugged the harness on the drivers wheel well. The power steering pump and bracket are there and the Ac lines no driveshafts t case or trans. But truck appears to be pretty complete otherwise.
