Oil Cooler cause shutoff?
My coolant bottle, as well as my entire engine compartment, is full of oil. The truck won't run. It will make ICP when I first crank it but then it goes away. I have the orings and gaskets to do the oil cooler, it is there any chance there's something else that caused this? Anyway to diagnose the oil cooler before I disassemble?

The fact that your engine compartment has oil over it too it may be worth looking for a source of an oil leak there too? HPOP lines if more towards the front of the engine, possible turbo pedestal leak, valve cover gasket or EBPV leak if more so in the valley seem to be the usual culprits.
Do you have a pool of oil underneath the front driver side when it has been sat? That is usually where the oil cooler will show itself, so I am led to believe.
As mentioned earlier, if you don't have enough oil in the system, the injectors can not fire as they are hydraulically / oil driven.

The oil appears to have all come from the degas bottle.... and then went everywhere.
i had a small puddle under the degas bottle when I approached the truck before a 500 mile trip. I chose to ignore it and hit the road. I made my general destination without incident. When I got up in the morning I found a lot of fluids under the truck. I tried to make the last 3 miles of the journey but only made it about 300 feet. I fired up forscan, cranked it over, saw 2000 + ICP, then 1000, then 500, then it died. In that little 300 ft trek and a couple more cranking sessions, it pushed more oil out of the degas bottle. There is no oil on the stick, haven't checked the hpop reservoir yet, just pulling the cooler now.
