In looking at the specs the new 2017 4x4 SWB Crew Cab is 81.5" without options. What options besides the roof cab lights would raise this height. My parking garage is 7' so I should be okay. My 2009 F 250 is listed as 79.9 and I have roof lights an no issues. Just don't want to make a HUGE mistake and find out I can't park in my garage at work.
Second, having never owned a diesel what is the recommended maintenance and at what intervals. I will drive the truck approx. 8k miles a year mainly towing a camper so it will sit more than it sees the pavement as I have a car for a DD. It will be outside in the VA climate so while we do get cold in the winter it normally is always above 0F and avg high upper 30's to low 40's for most of the winter. tks
My F350 crew long box is 6'10" without options. Cab lights won't increase it much. I ended up not getting them but I am parking outside now anyway, my old truck was 6'9" with bigger tires on it.
As for maintenance, oil changes and fuel filters are every 5k miles, 15k miles for fuel filters. Or every 6 months for each oil change, wear life indicator will tell you exactly. Fuel filters go to yearly then I believe from my manual.
with roof lights about 21/2 inches mine only has About !/2 inch clearance for at the same height of your garage
2 1/2" for clearance lights would put me at 83.11". That sure is close. I need to measure the roof clearance lights. I did not think they were that tall. tks
