I had it come down and latch on my left arm…does that count, oh I was trying to adjust my passenger head light aiming as it was too low…was quite painful, all bones ok though, struts were replaced same night

Yes, they are. I knew the time was coming, though, because the last several times I had the hood open in warmer months, the lift supports showed signs of being very tired.
