17" Rims and Chains!

Guys, I was looking for the biggest tire I can get on my 2010 SD F250 4x4 crew but I still want to run chains. It has 265's on it now but was wondering if I went to 285's if that would still clear it? Does anyone have this combo? Or any ideas?

I don't think you'd have any issues. I have 275/70R18's (stock size) on both a 2006 and 2011 F350, and there seems to be plenty of room. A little extra width shouldn't be a problem.
