chips

what does a chip do does it add horsepower or what? Where can i get one.

First, the chip changes the timing advance curve for premium fuel.

Second, the fuel delivery curve is changed.

Third, in many cases Ford's shut off one bank of injectorys and/or spark plugs during shifts -- this is removed with the chip.

Also, with electronic transmissions, shift pressure is increased by up to 20% during shifting resulting in a quicker, firmer shift.
