Hello, I'm new to the forum and a recent new owner of a 79 Bronco (long awaited I might add). In any case I am looking for a little help.
The Bronco is a project truck and was purchased without an engine. Reason being is because prior to the Bronco purchase I picked up a 79 351M which I am working on restoring. One area I am not 100% sure on is the flywheel. I know it is a 28oz imbalance flywheel but I am having trouble finding one at a reasonable price. Centerforce makes one but is almost $600.
I have found a few used ones on ebay but one thing I am not sure of: is the flywheel the same for an auto trans as it is for a manual?
I believe most 351M's were backed by an auto so they seem to be pretty available, my hope is that the manual trans used the same one. Any input is appreciated!
