I have a 1996 Explorer and need to know where the lamp out module is located. My right front head light (low beam) and fog lights don't work. I heard this is the problem. Can someone tell me where it is located so I can replace it. Thanks
Well I wont say it is that module doing the things you are stating, but the module is located under the center console. You can access it from top by removing the message center section and top plate.
I meant to say that I unpluged it and then plug it back in and it worked. but when I jiggle the wires the lights go on and then off. So now I need to figure out if it is sort somewhere or a bad unit. Thanks again for your help.
Its likely a bad module, which like many devices with a cracked circuit board or bad solder joints can be manipulated to work but probably should be replaced to get the final fix. I believe those modules are fairly reasonable in price.
