Lights need help

I got a 2015 F-350 SD and the stock lights just ... well they suck!
What's the hot ticket for lights? Should I switch the lights to LED HID or just add a light bar? Got a ARB bumper with grill guard so pulling the grill to replace stock lights will be fun.
Thanks

I hear ya, My 14` has the worst high beam lights. I never use them. I will turn them on and back off after two seconds because low beam is almost better, almost.

It's the design of the reflector - it doesn't do that good of a job to focus and distribute the light. You can try brighter bulbs, eg. Sylvania Silverstars, or buy aftermarket drop-in LED bulbs, or HIDS lamps but the results will be disappointing or even worse using the stock headlight reflectors.

The folks who seem to have gotten the best results were the ones who replaced the entire headlight assembly. Unfortunately, the quality of some of the replacement Superduty headlights out there are all over the map. From what I remember reading the "cheap" imported lights had their own different issues, and guys on this site reported that some brands were a waste of money. Anecdotally, the ones that folks reported working really well, were also really $$$$.

The light bars throw phenomenal amounts of light, but most aren't DOT approved, so you're not legally supposed to run them on road. Most of the light bars are a flood light - they will be really bright, but won't help much if you're trying to see a deer 300 yards down the road.. That being said, I would love it if Santa brought me a 20" Rigid Light Bar to mount in my grill.

I went the cheaper way (~$120). I bought a pair of Hella Halogen Driving lights and installed them so they turn on with my hi-beams. They have a very bright focused beam that fills in the gaps from my stock hi-beam lamps. I always leave my OEM fog lights on and they help out my lo-beams. The fogs illuminate the sides of the road and the short range area in front of the truck.

Honestly, the biggest thing I would beg you to do is PLEASE, PLEASE, DO NOT PUT HIDs IN NON PROJECTOR HOUSINGS. I see people do it all the time, and it's a serious safety issue. You can either get better halogen bulbs, or get new housings.
Some recommended getting a lightbar kind of setup, which isn't a bad idea if you're smart with them.
I like spot LED setups like these guys from ProjectLM. If aimed right, the cutoff is pretty good and you can avoid blinding people. That is, as long as you shut them off before people get too close!
