Good point. Forgot about the gas. Weight of the cab would change drastically by how much gas you have.

Just to give an update on this. I did go ahead and made my own mounts. I had to modify the stock frame mounts as well as cab mounts. All I needed to do was open up the hole to 7/8ths. This was to allow for me to use bushings on either side of the new adjustable rod.

Here is the part I used for these.

I did have to modify these as well. I simply had to cut off one end of the bushing as well as shorten the internals sleeve.

Now that I have everything in place and the cab on the frame I feel these work great. I am able to fully adjust the rear of the cab up and down on both sides.

Now for the one negative that I have found. To tighten the nuts on wither side of the adjusting rod so that the rod does not move you have ti fight with the flange of the frame mount. If I had done this prior to painting the frame I could have easily just notched out the flange a bit to make this easer.

But overall I'm happy I did this. It only saved me about $70 over the Mid50 adjustable ones. So savings is not overly huge in comparison to the other costs.

Here is a pic of them in place. Not really the best pic. Sorry i thought I took more as I was working on this.

I read through this informative thread but wanted to ask if anyone has experience with the midfifty adjustable mounts. I hope its fine to ask on here. I installed them and my drivers side needs to come up but no matter what i try, the adjustable mount just pushes the cab over instead of up. Seems like it couldn't push it over but it does. Anybody have any thoughts or tricks? I tried calling midfifty and they were going to get back to me with answers but of course never did.

Hey there. I've not adjusted mine yet. But when I was doing some drawings to see about maybe using shocks as mounts I was also looking how things would be adjusted.

Seems that if you want one side of the cab to go up you would extend the opposite side adjuster. This would essentially force the mounting arm on the side of the cab that you need to go up to move more towards vertical. Which would make the cab raise higher.

But also it would move the rear of the cab left and right. So that is where the length of the adjuster on the side of the cab that is being raised needs to be shortened.

I hope that makes sense. I'm not in a place to do a drawing of this right now. But can later if you need.

That is an interesting thought, I haven't tried that yet. It is totally opposite of what you would think but I can see how that makes sense. I will try that tonight. crossing my fingers

Outlaw,
Did you come up with anything on the Shocks? I think that would really make our trucks ride smooth.

I tried this this morning and it just pushed the cab over toward the other side. the out of level stayed exactly the same. I'm tempted just to put the original dog bones back in and see where I am at.
