This reminds me of the '93 Aerostar (Eddie Bauer Edition) my wife and I bought the day before she went into labor with our first child. Almost all of the interior panels were replaced under warranty because they cracked around each mounting hole. That had to be expensive for Ford. My Superduty will be the first new Ford I've bought since I had that lemon.
Yep..that's similar to how mine was. I have to say they fixed the issue, it took 8 weeks but its freaking great! I said to the Service Manager "I would rather have the dark grey headliner than the light one I have now". He said well that's up to Ford Sir. I gave them my truck and put me in a rental,3 days later its fixed and I have the darker color I wanted!! They swapped everything, overhead console, sun visors etc. I'm more than happy with how it turned out.
The truck I am buying has the same issue. I just used my finger nail and tucked it in and now I can't get it back out. Hopefully it is fixed for good if not I hope it comes back out within 3/36!
Give it a try, mine was all the way down the side and around the curved part of the console. My guys at Cortese Ford are awesome, this is my fifth truck purchase from them so they take care of me. The same tech has worked on all my trucks and he knows how **** I am about my truck.
Mistakes happen. Ford has been good about fixing them. For a new release, this truck has had no major issues so far. That's surprising and says a lot about the amount of work that went into the prep on this truck.
After the 6.0 and all the problems that went along with that, Ford is really trying to do better and build their reputation.
About 2 hours ago I was talking with a guy with a 2016 Ram 3500. The poor guy was totally ticked off at Ram. He has the truck from Hell, constantly broke down. After looking at my 2017 F350 he said that he's going for a test drive tomorrow. When you talk to someone like that guy, you realize what quality issues really are. He said traded his 2014 Duramax on the Ram because it leaked oil endlessly and couldn't be fixed by GM. Then the Ram was awful. I hope the Ford works out for him or he'll be driving a Toyota.
It's best to try and remember everything we have is made by evolved apes using materials dug out of the ground.
Pretty amazing, really.
When you say it that way it is funnier, but I can assure you, we did NOT evolve from apes. I promise I won't ever mention this again or argue with anyone about it. Sorry about the bad headliner issue. They'll fix it.
Sorry, but I have to speak up here regarding the Apes comment. DingusKhan, thank you for defending us. I have always had issue with the theory (emphasis on theory) that my great grandmother many generations back was an animal, though my wife often compares me to a bear for some reason.
Sorry for getting I promise I'll be good. Now, I think I'll go climb a tree and eat some banana's. Okay, okay, I'll stop.
New headliner installed, its a darker grey than the original. I love it, looks like they swapped everything...even the overhead console is the darker color!! Great job Ford!!
