So, the actuator for the driver's side has failed, and of course it failed to the cold side in winter.
I know there are 2 ways to go about swapping this. Anyone do this? Pointers? Tips?
If I remember correctly, the actuator that causes this issue is the one that is located below the console on the driver side. I don't have a link to the video, but there is a YouTube video showing that once the trim is removed, you can cut the dash piece behind it, replace the actuator, and replace the trim (thereby hiding where you cut). The other actuator is located behind the stereo, but if I remember right that one simply controls hot/cold in general. Someone please chime in if I am incorrect. I don't have time right this minute to go through the service manual.
You are correct on location. And I did watch a video on doing it by removing the console and lower air box, but that method only allowed one screw to be put back in.
Update, it seems it's not the actuator. It's the climate control module. None of the actuators work. Passenger side stuck on full heat. Now the fan runs any speed it wants. I'll be replacing it instead.
I'm having the same issue. Clicking behind the dash and no easy way to get to that actuator. I saw that video where he had to break off the eyelets and only got one screw back in but I would prefer it be put back in right.

If you have the clicking behind the dash it's most likely the (relatively) easy-to-reach actuator located behind the stereo.
Thanks K9... sadly I wasn't so lucky. I unplugged the actuator behind the stereo and the one above the gas pedal and the clicking continued. Sounds like it is coming from the center floor board.
