I found a place on the net that can provide everything I need for switching from the C6 auto to 5 speed. The place gives me everything which is a new NV4500, clutch, adapters and all the little bells and whistles for 2500.00. After finding this place it really seems like a better deal than adding an auxillary tranny onto my C6. I woun't have to worry about tranny cooler, leaky tranny lines, or frying an outomatic in the hot SoCal heat while pulling my Jeep. I think I am going to go for this once the wife gives me some release authority. Let me know if any of you other guys have did this or have had experience with it. I think it will be a great Jeep hauler if I had a good 5 speed and I could probably gain some good highway speed. Plus the NV4500 is almost bulletproof. Let me know if I am forgetting anything. If any of you guys have a shop that you think could so this in SoCal, please let me in on them. I am looking for a good shop to do this transformation.
Well, I finally did it, I hacked out the muffler and had the local shop put a 4" pipe from the turbo outlet pipe to the tail and man did it help out. Thanks for the advice and the truck sounds good but not out of control.. Thanks again for the help. Scotty
Thanks for the help, I will give them a call and see what kind of price he slings at me. Hopefully it is within the budget, I would really like to do the manual tranny swap. I think it would be so sweet to have a solid 5 speed with my old truck.. Scotty
