I just got my 1705 tuner. I pull a 30 ft trailer everyday but under 6000lbs. I was wondering if I want to use the tow safe mode or use the perf tow mode. I did the exhaust and have the gauges, (haven't installed yet). Also if I do the perf tow, is it ok to drive around without a trailer.

Do you have the two program SCMT, or three? What other mods have you done?
If the truck is stock except for the programmer I'd stick with the low setting. If you've opened up the intake and exhaust you won't have any problems towing with the higher settings.
