Hey all been lurking here a while, spent most of my ford truck fourm time over on the navigator fourm. this is my new project that I rescued from a small dealership that was sending it to the auction. 2003 Eddie Bauer. it ran terrible no power no hot restarts. got it home and dove into it. Replaced hpop, icp ( leaking), ipr, egr cooler,oil cooler, filters, and blue spring in regulator. Ford tech i know found a broken injector plug wire. except for some rough running while still cold (just added hot shot) its now running great getting 18 mpg in mixed driving. lots of little things to tinker with and fix. But having a blast and loving it.
210000 miles but underneath has no rust. body has some scuffs but again no rust. 😀 It was a good deal I gave up a 2005 pristine taurus that I inherited a year ago and some cash. they had no idea what was wrong with the engine. swore it was the ficm. but they didn't want to put any money in it. found out they had it a couple years and we're desperate to get rid of it.
