Anybody know anything about this? It is posted over at The Diesel Stop.
Production halted on 2017 diesels?
Has anyone else heard about this?
Dealership said there is a problem with 2017 PSD and the factory is not building any new trucks with a diesel until it is sorted out? Apparently it has to do with a faulty oil pump?
My dealer was dropping a new engine into a 2017 this week. The owner took it home and 150km later the engine seized.
Now they are rebuilding the engine in my dad's 2011 PSD, it had catastrophic engine failure. They are now putting a 2017 block in it.
It's always a friend of a cousin's friend who heard blah blah.
Maybe he is just upset that his early 6.7 is affected by the valve problem that seems to kill those early trucks.
That is a valid complaint and these two piece valves should not be coming apart.
Wow, talk about a kick in the cajones...! I blew the 6.0 in my 2004 F250 at 31k miles after an injector self destructed, and it cost Ford a new motor under warranty... This is the first I've heard of this but this will be a show stopper for me as I'm in the process of getting ready to order a '17 F350 KR 4x4 crew cab...
I hope for the OP's sake that he didn't post this just on a rumor... If it's not true, the backlash could get brutal... I would think if there's any merit to this that the Industry Magazines will investigate and report on it...
