Don't waste time and money on a 2 barrel carb, particularly buying new. If on a budget get a 600 CFM Holley 4160 and craigslist for a 4v intake. You can use the carb on either a 302 or 351w when you do it proper.

Thing is he has the Holley v2 500 cfm carb and it will bolt onto the stock intake.


Unlike the v4 and intake you want him to buy.

I didn't realize he already had one. Personally I'd sell it and get a 650 CFM 4150, throttle response, economy and tunability should be better. But... There are certainly worse carbs the run than the big 2 barrel Holley.

I live in a county that doesnt require emissions testing. I cut the Catalytic converter off of my truck years ago. if I were to move to albuquerque or santa fe I may have problems.
