computer in my 84??
Hey guys
i really hate to sound like an idiot but i dont know if my truck has a computer in it. its an 84 ford f150 with a 300 i6, 1bbl carb, and a/c. im planning on putting a four barrel intake and carb on it and a mild camshaft. If i do have the computer, any ideas on some problems that i might run into?? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanx

computer in my 84??
my 84 did. the easiest way (that i know of) to see if it had a computer or not is to look at the distributor. if it has a vacuum hose coming off of it, it is _not_ a EEC-IV (the computer system). if it does, it's an EEC-II with is the system you _have_ to run (unless you go aftermarket or do a lot of mods) if you are doing a 4BBL setup.. it is easy to change to if you have a computer though.
