Glad your pipes made it through the night Chief. Put the water spicket covers on Thursday night so I'm good for the winter. Sounds like you have a good plan with your property Hugh.
Tomorrow may be the shakedown cruise for the truck, wish me luck.
Thanks Hugh. Gail heard me talking about driving the truck tomorrow. She gave me an early Christmas present.
She got the tag for the truck yesterday, and added it to the insurance policy. Guess she doesn't want me getting any tickets. Gotta love her. Tomorrow is the maiden voyage.
Good Luck on the test drive!!! I am sure it will go great.
I have my first winter indoor project, I am installing a new wood floor in the living room since I have been promising my wife to do it for a while now.
My 2 or 3 day Disney World trip in October is morphing into something much bigger and longer. We have not been on a real vacation in about 6 years. Our daughter will be almost 18 when we go and she has never been and I want to make it very memorable for her. Little man won't remember this trip but I plan on taking him again when he is older.
First half of the maiden voyage went off without a hitch, except for popping off of the left front wheel cover, will look into why that happened. To QuikTrip for gas, then to the house. Took Gail for a ride down towards the lake, and back home.
Now back to the shop, and put her away for the week.
Rainy days, and Mondays, I think there is a song in there. Got a question Chief, how do you get a piece of equipment into the shop if it is not operational? The way you said that you were glad to get the dozer in before it rained made me think it wasn't running.
The dozer runs so I just drove it in. Rebuilds have really picked up since the election and they have customer equipment stacked in the building like cord wood. They were using my bay so I was working outside. Everything has some way you can bypass the parking brakes and we have a big forklift to push it around.
Jumping between rental returns and main shop work, just depends on whats open at the time. I did 2 rental flips so far today but I do not think there are anymore returns left.
Got the waterpump on .all the belts vack on. The a/c and p/ s brackets had a brain fart on them. When I was tightening the p/ s pump belt broke the big bracket where you put the breaker bar for leverage. I think I got it belt tight. That will be a junkyard run. Got the radiator with the electric fans back in. Tat was a pain by myself
