Dealer gave me $32,000 for my 75,000 mile 2011 Lariat 4x4 in great condition. The driver side mirror wouldn't fold ($1,200) and the reduction in taxes was almost $2,000 so I calculated the real value to me at $35,000. That is pretty much the high end of the current market so I was happy. It was the first time I traded in a car on a new purchase. I've always sold them on my own and done much better than I could with a dealer.

I sold my 2001 F-250 super cab 4x4 with 7.3L for $14,500. I sold on my own since I would have taken a beating on trade in. It only had 115K miles and looked really good, but it was a Michigan truck and did have some rust on the rockers and a few other issues. All in all I felt pretty good about that price. The 7.3's are doing pretty good if you find the right buyer.

46000 for 2015 platinum with 44000 miles. Needed tires, the bed was all scratched up (I never put bed liners in) , air dam was ripped off, and has some minor scratches.

Made my deal at $37,500 for a 2011 f 350 drw lariat with 56,000 miles truck was like new very little winter driving and stored in heated garage. Got employee discount pricing on f 450 platinum and $3000 off from dealer so I ordered it then a month later dealer called me and said he has a guy who wants my 2011 dealer sweeten the pot and gave me $40,000. So new truck is $97,000 minus $14,000 employee discount - $3000.00 from dealer -$40,000 trade = $40,000 for new truck this is all Canadian

My dads 2011 KR with 85,000 miles. Dealer was giving 32,000 for trade. He sold it to my friend for 32,000. I didn't have a trade since mine was totaled last March.

$31,000 for my 2011 Lariat F250 CCSB Fx4 with all options and 115,000 miles and I get to drive it until the new one arrives. Was just told not to put 20,000 miles on it. Also since I am taking my aftermarket wheels for the 2017, they get the 2017 factory 20's for the 2011.

Dealer is giving me $44,000 for 2015 CCSB 250 basic Lariat w/ 53k miles. Truck is lifted with new 37" tires but has hail damage on the roof. With another $2k in tax savings I can't even sell the truck on the used market for $46k.

Got $30500 for my 2015 F150 XLT SCREW that had book value range of 29k rough to 34k mint and it had about $3000 damage from a deer I hit that hadn't been repaired yet so I think I did OK considering that I also didn't have to pay tax on that part of the new truck price.

Actually cash value I find to be pretty close to KBB "Fair" for a pretty nice vehicle. Then take deductions for mechanical and cosmetic issues. If you're getting much more than that than it's likely coming off the front end of the deal. There are always exceptions, but I use this when I'm not ready to get a firm number from the used car manager and just need to be safe putting a deal together. It's always pretty darn close for our market in south central pa.

I got $25,250 for my '13 F150 FX4 (loaded) with 71,4xx miles. I was in a fender bender about 2 months ago so I probably could have gotten more had that not happened. Dealer kept it and has it on their lot for $32,990 right now.

I wondered what the dealer was going to do with my truck because they seemed excited when they saw it so I just checked their website and, sure enough, it's on there under the used inventory...I have to say, seeing it for sale on the dealer website gives me mixed emotions. Don't get me wrong, I love my new truck and and happy I traded it, but seeing pics of my F150, with all my upgrades, on the dealer site affected me more than I thought it would...man, I loved that truck!
