Hello All,
As it says, when lights are on they tend to flicker towards being DIM but surge back at 800-1200 rpm, when I'm on the gas or highway all seems normal,
I'm getting a whining sound that from past experience sounds like a bearing on the Alternator, could the brushes or diode be shot?? Any input greatly APPRECIATED?
Mitch
That just recently happened to my brother in laws 2000 F150. The alternator was only putting out 11.4 volts at idle and 12.2 around 1500rpm. The alternators for these Expeditions and F150's come in 90 amp and 130 amp. Make sure to get the correct one.
