I've got a 4.6 crown vic swap in a 69 f100. I'm wanting to run long tube headers in it but I'm hearing that some have run into problems with the headers dumping into the transmission cross member. does anyone have confirmation on this or do you think it will work?
thanks for the help
The real interference will be with the crossmember between the radius arm
support. Stock manifolds are good for 450-500 hp. Shorties will make it a little louder.

Yeah I didn't want them really for performance. mainly for sound. have you run into this problem? do you have any suggestions on how to run long tube successfully?
You can check out page TWO OF Technical Info Hyperlink Compilation (12) HIO Silver. Or take a look at how Hio modified his cross member in his build for ideas.
