Chelsea Green F series pics?

I've got a 1972 Bronco that had Chelsea Green (paint code Y) as the original color. It has since been repainted silver. I'm looking paint it back to the original green.

When it is done, I'm thinking of buying/building a 1972 F series with the same paint color/scheme. I did come across a 1972 F100 4x4 with the Chelsea Green body and white top, but its very faded and hard to really get a feel for the look.

So, anyone have any good photos of Chelsea Green F series trucks?

I'd prefer they were in the 1971-73 range. And I am not picky about model as I'm thinking I might do a 2wd F100 and a 4x4 F250.

Here's the faded 72 F100 4x4 I spotted. For reference.

Which is the Chelsea Green? The hood or body? If it's the body it looks like a faded, dulled Hunter Green. Nice color.

The body. It might have been called Hunter in another model year. Not sure. I know for 72-73 it was Chelsea.

Here's a Bronco, '73 model year, wearing the same color. This is what mine will look like when complete.

If I had to guess, I would say that hood is a faded Shenandoah.

The closest example of that color I can get, to give you some idea of what the color would look like on a Bump, is on my '69 F100. Color code "N" Norway Green.

1972 Bronco COLOR code Y = Medium Mallard Green Metallic AE60-5019

Neither this color, color code or part number is listed for cars, trucks or Econolines of any year.

1969/71 Trucks/Econolines COLOR code Y = Medium Aqua AE60-3216

Bill, I know you're the master of the numbers, but... This is a scan of the Bronco sales brochure for the 1972 model year, dated 7/71. You can see they list both Chelsea and Mallard as available colors for that year.

For 1972, Bronco VIN records usually agree that a paint code Y is Chelsea Green and paint code V is Mallard Green.

1965/72 Ford Car Parts Catalog sez:

O = 1972 Medium Green Metallic (Bronco): AE60-5187 or M1J-5187

Q = 1972 Light Yellow Green (Bronco): AE60-5060 or MIJ-5060

V = 1971/72 Dark Green (Bronco): AE60-5005 or M1J-5005.

Y = 1972 Medium Mallard Green Metallic (Bronco): AE60-5019

This same info for 1972 Bronco's is also listed in The Standard Catalog of Light Duty Ford Trucks - krause.com - ISBN: 0-87349-411-3

The sales brochure doesn't list the COLOR codes.

2X. 1972 Bronco color code "Y" is indeed Medium Mallard Green metallic. And the Medium Aqua info is correct also. The Medium Mallard Green Metallic is prolly the same thing as the Chelsea Green in your brochure. Ford has given the same color different names forever. Except for Model T black. Even during a same year. Companies have to give the printing companies the info Months before they are actually printed and delivered to the customer (Ford) and then to John Q Public. So what is published to Parts Men like Bill and I can be different than what's published in an early brochure like what you posted. Later brochures prolly called the same color Medium Mallard Green Metallic. Also may be why you are having difficulty finding pics of a Chelsea green Bumpside.
Example of Ford's paint Faux paws:
73/79 Ford Truck paint code "Y".
73/74....Orange.
1975 ....Medium green Gold.
1976.....Yellow Orange.
77/78....Jade Metallic.
1979.....Med. Golden sand metallic.

"You can have any color, so long as it's black." -Henry Ford

Prior to 1924, vehicles were not painted, they were varnished! Black varnish dried the quickest.

First vehicle to be painted with new Duco automotive paint: 1924 Oldsmobile.
