1956 COE Project

Hi to all, I just purchase a 56 c600 truck and like to build to my self, look to some one that know who build this blue, also pictures of mine, i would like some tips how to extend the cabine and some building tips or if some one now who did this one help to get some pictures of or any boddy the extend the cabine thank you to all

Welcome to FTE. I opened a new thread for you as your project deserves it's own thread.

It looks like you have a lot of work ahead if that first picture of the crew cab COE is your goal. Good luck with it.

Get another cab to make the extended part. At least thats the easy way. If you have access to metal forming tools and a bunch of experience you can make it from sheet metal. Start with two cabs, then brace it all up, cut , trim and weld. Do the same with the second set of doors to make the rear doors. Its a lot of work. I'm in the middle of doing it to one of my trucks right now! I'll try to help you out the best I can.

this one is probably the only one in south america, so to get a extra cab will be very hard, you think I can do with a f100 cabine because those are very easy to find?

I couldn't tell you for sure but take measurements and go check one out. might work or at least be a good start.

Wow what a project! Keep us informed of your progress! That truck that you ar using as a guide sure looks nice! The C trucks sure look good all fixed up!

The rear body panel behind the doors is the same for all 1956's (except panels), but there are two types, with or without a wrap-around window.
