Easy fix for a body guy.
For the rest of the bed, if you haven't heard of these products, chk them out. I use them on both my old trucks.
Some Metal Blast, Rustmort would kill the rest of your rust. Maybe use some Por 15 paint then bed liner.
It'll out live most anyone reading this.
LMC and tabco sell bed patch panels for a reasonable price. Your local guy could use them in lieu of creating his own patch panels to save on shop hours. (The small panel is like 23 bucks)
To be honest I would cut out the cancer yourself for free and just buy the patch panel. It wouldn't take a good body guy but an hour to weld them up nice.
Keep in mind that is all you are seeing from this side. Here in the northeast the rust would probably be extensive on the underneath/backside. What you would see in the picture is just where the rust decided to rear its ugly head and come popping through. I would guess around your rust holes it is pretty solid so ,yes,it can be easily repaired. A couple hundred dollars would do it in my shop. Just a general idea for you. Good luck! gary
vtpkrat2......Interesting take on rust on a bed floor......In our part of the world......the way you would rust thru a bed floor is due to crap (generally hay, old leaves etc.)being held in the bed with no way to drain. I realize you guys salt the hell out of the roads up there and they are starting to use a lot of chemical de-icers around here anymore so its a good thing for us to start keeping in mind........I know that since they have started using so much of that crap......it is hell to keep all the lights working on a semi truck and trailers.......one small spot of exposed copper wire and the **** will eat thru the wire in a day.......been there done it many times.
