Water In Fuel light
Ok, I haven't bumped into this problem, but I figured I'd ask now and file any/all info I get into the ol' memory bank.
My owner's manual has no info on what to do if this light comes on.
1984 F-250 6.9L No fuel/water seperator, just the OEM fuel filter.
Also, does anybody know what the oil capacity is for the crankcase? That page is missing from my manual as well.
Thanks!

You usre it doesn't have the seperator? It' seperate from the filter...mine is located right up against the firewall by the driver's side hood hinge. You really have to dig to get to it. Mine's disconnected. Which means, btw, that the light will NEVER come one...lol

Best thing to do is probably chase your fuel lines all the way from the tanks through the selector switch and up to the filter. There have been tons of mods made over the years regarding water seperators, with some people mounting them down along the frame. The factory units were notorious for not "resealing" after the pin had been pulled to drain the accumulated water out, thus allowing air into the fuel system, which diesels don't tolerate.
