blown brake light fuse

blown brake light fuse
I've tried replacing the fuse and it blows again, is affecting me putting truck in gear and no brake lights as well as possible cruise control not working...

Our 96's right brake/stop/signal tail lt. assy's wiring harness was chaffing along the passenger side fender panel's sharp edge - where it enters the assy; take a look at the pass side assy; it is ez to unscrew.
Also; " Brake light switch and the wiring attached to it.I've seen the wires get sandwiched against the metal brace and short out the fuse for the Brake circuit"
