Phone mic issues...
I had a 2011 f250, used the blue tooth mic with my cell phone never had any complaints.......Now 2017, if i'm going down the road most of the people I talk to complain about the noise over the phone, appears the mic is picking up the air noise going down the road, I turned my phone on to advanced calling/ HD, slight improvement but still people complain about the sound....any idea were the mic is?
no it's not, and there are 4 of those light looking things, 2 more that point to the back, those are ultrasonic motion sensors for the alarm, the mic's are closer to the front behind the little grills
I have been told the exact opposite. People comment there is no background noise when using the mic. I will say that at the time I use it all Windows and likes are closed. Highway and load roads no issues. When I used blue tooth in my 08 everyone knew when I was driving.
Maybe there is an issue with your truck or the system.

Problem with mic
In the 11-16 the mic was in the left side towards the "A"
piller.
With the new style of cab on the 150 and 250's
its in the upper light console.
i had a problem with my 2015 f150 for sound reflections
for I put a small cardboard folded behind the upper console to gather sound. It help to hold and bounce the sound into the mic.
My 17 Sounds better than my 15
I think they could make a small plastic part to reflect the sound and glue to the bottom as a sound gard.

I have used the Bluetooth mic about 20 times for very long conversations on highway and road. People say they can't tell I am in a truck so really makes me think either they are half def, I got lucky, or there is an issue with yours.
Made half dozen or so work calls in the past week and about double that number for personal use on the trip up to NY and back on highway going 65-75 mph. Bluetooth and mic worked flawlessly and no complaints from anyone. Friends and family said sound quality was spot on.
ya same here, it always go's something like this,
"hey can I call you back when I'm not driving! O I couldn't even tell your driving!"
I'm in a platinum tho, I wonder if the lower end trucks have a crappy mic? Or maybe it's the phone or its connection? I use blue tooth
