Glad to be part of forum. Just got a new 2017 F250 6.7L diesal, drivability is exceptional. Camera system incredible BUT one thing driving me nuts is a a tick, click, crackle right by my ear drum on driver side. Sounds like rice crispies going off. Truck has noises throughout cab but right by ear is really annoying. Sometimes it doesn't do it other times it's every single crack on the road. I have lubricated the weather strip with Krytox, put cotton behind the weather strip, had people push on the door from the outside but can't find source of noise. I have come to the conclusion it not the weather strip. I have even driven with my hand jambed between window frame and cab body. The F250 doors move alot while driving, I would guess 50% more than other cars but the noise persist. I have played with the seat belt mechanism, have driven with the window slightly cracked, noise still there. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I had thought interior noises in cars were a thing of the past. My other vehicles are silent and some have over 100K miles on them. Thanks in advace!!!
I have had the same issue, mine comes from center stack right by the controls for the a/c. Haven't tried to solve it yet, but I'll be following this thread to see if anyone has. I was going to order the in dash iPad kit to replace that panel as I think that is what is causing the noise.
This has been the biggest disappointment with my new Ford. More rattles and squeeks than any other vehicle I've owned. It's pretty embarrassing when new friends or family ride in the truck, and I have to sheepishly apologize for the noises.

17platinumsfl, I’ve had the same issue. Come close to ripping the bottom of the center stack off. Found that when I pushed on the bottom of the center stack the noise would go away. I finally stuck a penny (it was in the cup holder so that’s what I used) between the bottom two sections of the center stack on the driver’s side. Just needed something to jam between the two sections to stop the squeaking noise. Amazingly that’s the cheapest fix at $.01. Hope this helps. May even help the OP, but sounds like his noise is higher up.
Mine crackle come from the area around the driver side "B" pillar. Not to many crackles by center console yet. I wouldn't be embarrassed about the noises, you didn't build the truck Ford did. When I test drove I didn't hear them. So the blame is with Ford. I have a 2017 4runner with 12K miles and I could drive it off a cliff and it wouldn't make a snap crackle or pop and the ride is about as stiff as a F250 lol.
Try loosening the door hasp's 2 bolts, push in on it while tightening. Do all the doors, you would be surprised how much noise goes away by pulling the dorrs in a nano-hair.
Never heard of anyone putting Krytox on their weatherstrip. That’s a pretty pricey alternative to silicone. I’ve been running Krytox GPL in my wheel bearings for a long time (race car, not street car). I wasn’t aware that PPFE had any specific benefits on rubber.

First, welcome to FTE. Do you have the panoramic sunroof? Been some rattles in those tracks. Wife's 2013 Explorer Limited did it, too. I'm planning on doing the following mod on mine (no sunroof) ...
Thanks for the suggestions I tried the door latch and slightly moved it in. No success. As far as Krytox it is the best lubricant for weather stripping as it has no hydrocarbons. It will never deteriorate the rubber. Its main purpose in life is oxygen service where there can not be any contaminants or oil. A down side is it cannot be mixed with any other lubricant. If you research weatherstrip lubricant from the OEM's it will be krytox. Yes it is expensive for some....... My guess is the aluminum door isn't stiff enough and due to the rigid chassis flexes an inordinate amount causing noise from the weatherstrip stickation. I going to try some blue painters tape on the upper part of door frame furthest fro hinge. It may very well be the back door. Problem is the noise last a millisecond so even with wife driving its hard to find. some times it will not do it all others it lights off. At times i hear it when i open the door, heck maybe its the rear door hinge. I shoot some lubricant in there.
Krytox is the best! However we buy the big tubs at work and I swear we keep them in a safe! Each tub is near 30k no joke. Back before I did purchasing I didn't know what it was and grabbed a big glob and smeared all the weather stripping on my service truck boxes. Years later I realized that I probably wasted 5k on those seals, lol.
I went and lubed the door hinges but noise still there. I then remembered a pretor elliptical machine i bought once. After I bought it I asked the guy what was wrong with it. I paid $1800 it cost him $4500. He said nothing mechanical and Precor attempted many times but there is a "click" it makes when using nobody could find. I found it was the minuscule movement between the ramp and rear T mount. Bolts were plenty tight. The solution was a piece of plastic between the the mount and ramp instant silence. I told precor and months later I was in a showroom and all their elliptical had paper gaskets at that location, lol. I wonder if I don't have the same movement between the door and door hinge. Aluminum isn't that stiff and I know these doors move around a bunch when driving. Sounds like its coming from upper hinge. My hinge bolts were tight. I did move its door latch mount in as much as I could. I see tomorrow when driving to work. Life is good, pay $70k for truck and hunt noises. WTF...
Surgical tubing is nice trick!!!! I can see a Krytox grease ring around perimeter so I know the weather stripping is making contact. My weather stripping has little plastic "pins" I could only guess how many i will break removing weather strip. He went way overboard with lube. At first I thought it was the pins making the noise. I jammed cotton around them but noise still there.
No success. I lubed the weather stripping, used baby powder on weather stripping to ensure no stickation. Adjusted door "clasp" tick tick tick still there. Must be the paper thin aluminium expanding and contracting. I don't seam to hear it when driving with the door open. Neighbors love that, hey I like to show off my $70K truck noise rattles, lol. Good news I killed two birds with one stone. I wound never but a F150 now as it has the same cab and same rattles. I owned 30 plus cars, this one rattles as much as my 1973 Pontiac Grandville. Ford has failed.....
If it drives you nuts now, wait until the temperature drops below 40f. You'll have to be institutionalized at that point. It's the price we pay for a plastic interior. I get a tiny bit of wind howl from the doors, I plan on doing the surgical tubing thing here soon.
ROFLMFAO!! I needed that. Its not the plastic interior, every car produced for the last 30 years has plastic interiors. The cab is not rigid enough for the stiff chassis and the cab acts as a vibrating tuning fork.
