Weird transmission question
I have a Viper alarm/remote start on my '05 SCREW. Once in a while, the remote start would not work. You would see the lights flash and hear the relay charge but no start...I just chalked this up to the alarm getting old (yes, I know this is not an alarm forum...but I promise I am going somewhere with this)
Well, about 2 years ago, the transmission finally died on the truck. Got it replaced at the dealership to the tune of a bamillion dollars. Well, when I went to pick the truck up, it would not start. We fiddled with the alarm/kill switch but that did not do anything. Eventually it did start. Just figured it was a flook. Well a day or two later it would not start again. After trying everything, eventually I just took a shot in the dark and put it in neutral...started right up. To test it, I turned it off and put it in park and tried to start it again. No go. Put it in neutral...started right up. I also noticed that when I was backing up, I almost ran into the car behind me because the back up sensors were now not working.

Drove it to the dealer and told them what was happening ever since they put in the new tranny. They drove it back into the bay, did something and pulled it back out 5 min later saying "you should be good now"...and it was. Backup sensors were working and also, the alarm remote start was working again.
I say all that to ask this...what did they do to it?!?! Did they adjust some kind of sensor on it? The remote start is starting to act up again and I'm wondering if it is something I can just adjust again?
Thanks!

Thanks!
