93 Ford 5.8 performance upgrades

I hope to save time and money buy talking to some guys that have gone down this road. I have a 93 Ford F250 4X4 5spd with athe 5.8V8. I would like to increase the power my truck has but do not have thousands of dollars to put in it so things like superchargers are out. I would like to stay around $400 to $500 dollar range. Now of course if you have a sugestion that is alittle more but offers substantial improvement then I would have to do it now would'nt I. I have looked at computer chips and K&N intake systems spacers and stuff like that. What combination or single item would give me the most usable horsepower and torque increase. I love my truck but with the 355 rears and 200HP I just do not get to use 5th gear as much as I should. What could you guess sugest. Thanks Mark

I have a similar truck. If you would read the "Better gas mileage, how?" in the general conversation section. I responded to that and don't wish to type that all over. I am a poor typer. Thanks.
