Have noticed lately 2012 4x4 sc with 42,000 k has a slight vibration I guess you would call it you can feel through your fingers at certain speeds. I looked and felt tires which are at approximately 4,000 k from being new and they are wearing on the inside, going to rotate and have it aligned asap. Wondered if any one else has had this feeling ???
Tires have 4,000 miles on them and are wearing on the inside, an alignment check is definitely in order. The shaking is likely a balance issue and should be able to be corrected at the same time you have the truck in for the alignment issue.
Does the vibration get worse when you lightly step on the brake? All 3 F150s I've had (2001, 2010, current 2013) develop a small steering wheel vibration after about each 15,000 mile increment and by 20k miles I replace the front brake rotors. Vibration gone, at least for another 25 or so thousand miles. Get the take-offs turned, ready for the next time.
soon as I rotated vibration stopped. Had aligned and good to go. Keep an eye on tire wear and rotate again in 5 to 6 k. P.s what size are the lug nuts, doesn't matter what I use there a son of a buck to get out of socket...
Good to go then? Excellent! I was going to suggest a couple of other things I've noticed about the later model F150s but if you're all fixed up........
