driving along in 94 f150 302 auto, sputtered and backfired 3 times, died, replaced coil, ecm, and dist, still no spark at plugs...anybody dealt with this problem? thanks Darryl
The Engine Control Module (in Ford terms a Powertrain Control Module) is located behind the driver side kick panel. It's accessed from the engine side of the firewall.
A bad PCM can prevent spark. Unplug it, then check for spark.
For reference the PCM plug is located near the brake booster: courtesy of Subford
