Ok, so best I can get from Ford chat, my SD is in transit, ETA 11-25. Period. Other day I ordered 3 pair Jockey boxer briefs, am receiving daily updates as to where my package is, when it will arrive, etc. 25.00 worth of drawers. Daily updates and e-mails. I order 65,000.00 truck with a gps on it and it"s in transit. Is it just me, or.............?
Welcome to the world of the big blue oval I am quickly learning as well. Just because they have been around 100 years does not mean they have good processes in place.
They look at it from the very realistic perspective of "what difference does it make". I think many folks of this forum need to drink quite a bit more than they do. If you could watch it on a map coming towards you, it would neither get it to you sooner, or help their process. So any additional systems added to let you watch your vehicle come in would have to be added to the cost. I don't know the percentage of vehicles ordered specifically, but for me it's about 5%. So why add a system that really does nothing so that 5% of people can complain if the train stops too long?
Friday I was told by chat gal status changed from in production, to in transit. To day am told truck is still in production, never been in transit. Frustrating.

Mine is in production also according to chat today. My dealer has assured me my truck is in transit to be delivered this week. I'm beginning to think the info chat has access too is not being updated. I'll see if I have a truck in my driveway by the weekend.

Well said Frantz.
Ordering a new vehicle from FORD is risky business. But the reward is often worth it all.

Not only are my chores not done for winter but I've become alcohol dependent and addicted to FTE on this marathon wait. The light may be at the end of the tunnel but I had hoped to at least have a little time in the sunshine before winter hit. Well over a foot of snow and plenty of salt today. But still no truck. Yes it might be unknown when you will get your vehicle. Maybe worth it but Susie and I had our first born child faster. (Second one took 9 months). Regardless of how good the truck is the project management is pathetic. So it is not a risk, it is a given the management will indiscriminately manufacture vehicles with no apparent reason for screwing over those who put faith in their product and ability to produce vehicles. Sorry, but still ranting over being pushed to the back of the bus.
Frantz, w all do respect, I get it. Ordered on 10/3, was expecting end of year or later delivery. Salesman calls and sez late nov, chat gals say in transit, then not. I was cool w 3 mo wait, if ther gonna give unrealistic ETA"S, folks are gonna be disappointed. Big Stu, good luck bro, let us know if it comes in. Havnt bought a new truck in over 20 years, sorry if I'm jacked up.
Ok, got call from salesman today, spray in bed liner is causing my delay, truck still released to body, ETA of 11-25, but that aint gonna happen. Good luck everyone who is waiting.

Saw you in the Bed Liner Delay post...my ETA was Nov 10th and I'm also a body with the rest of the gang. All we can do it wait...it definitely sucks though. I just want a realistic ETA.
