I had a BTS trans installed in my 2000 F350 a little less than 2 years ago and have been having issues(in my mind) recently. When driving it revs and stays above 2000 rpm before shifting. The fluid is clean and smells normal, it has a new filter and the pan was clean when I dropped it. I pressure check it today with the following results
Idle Stall
P-82 P-
R-120 R-380
N-82 N-
D-82 D-200
2-82 2-200
1-89 1-200
When I put it in reverse to check the pressures, had the door open, I could hear a metallic spinning noise that stopped after a few seconds.
Any idea where to look at next. I've already got ahold of BTS and they had me change the filter and Brian hasn't gotten back ahold of me.
Man, what is it with all the posts about BTS failures? I can only recall a handful over the years, and now that mine has gone out as well you are the 3rd one in a little over a week. What gives? When did you get yours? I got mine in June 2014.
I'd have to look to know for sure but March of 2015 I think. I don't even have 15,000 miles on it yet and only a few hundred has been with a trailer behind it. It hasn't been feeling quite like I thought it should and seems to have gotten worse the past couple months.
KJNDIVER - I found my receipt from BTS, the transmission was installed on 3/20/15 and I've put a little less than 12,000 miles on it since then. I'll be getting ahold of Brian Monday hopefully, it acts like my old one that had burnt clutches.
