We got 2 '99's that are just coming up to the 100,000 mark right now, no major problems yet. On the other hand, we also have a '02 that had turned 35,500 and the tranny had pewtered out on us. It was still drivable, it wasn't upshifting propperly. Ford gave us a reman under warranty. They even let us run the vehicle another couple weeks until they got a tranny in. Yes we went over the 36,000 by then.
I hear that 100,000 miles on a diesel is not an issue , but I dont know if my truck is gonna make it. Lets see, what I have had repalced so far :
1. Blown up transmission pulling a 5000lbs. car trailer ??
2. Two water pumps
3. Power Steering pump
4. Three bad fuel injectors
5. Rear end cover was leaking
And I just rolled 23,000 miles !
Dont think I dont take car of my truck either , do more than the reccomended maintence . Guess I just got a bad one.....
