Brake controller plug & play?

Just bought a 2014 F150 STX. Came with the hitch receiver and 4/7 pin connector, factory stock not add ons. I have a Tekonsha Prodigy controller removed from an older truck that I want to reuse. I have identified a wiring harness from eTrailer.com that is supposed to plug in under the dash. Problem is I can't find the connector. Can anyone help me locate where the connector is under the dash?

If it is I think you would have to remove the dash to access it.

being Ford offers a controller from the factory.. maybe it is behind the radio.. or just below it.

my 2012 I replaced the radio a few months ago.. but I have an "XL" and was 2 screws to remove panel and 4 screws for the radio and it was out.
yours might be different.

on a Dodge, the connector was behind the fuse box next to clutch/brake petal. just pull up and out it came. but real hard to SEE IT.

probably behind the center stack. Why not buy the factory one and plug and play?

If I did not own a perfectly good Tekonsha Prodigy P2 controller I probably would get a stock Ford unit. I still would have the problem of finding where to plug it in.

find the oem spot for the controller and then right behind it in the dash will be it location since it is a plug and play feature now. Not exactly sure where the F150 location would be but on the SD it is in the center below the HVAC controls.

Tada! Found a picture of 2014 F150 with the factory controller. Located just to the right of the steering wheel. In my truck there is a small cubby hole in that location. Pulled out the trim piece and removed 2 7MM screws to pull out the cubby. Plugged into a dummy plug on the back was the factory controller connector.

I have ordered the plug and play cord from Amazon Prime ($11.40) and it will be here this week.

Thanks to all that helped.

figured that it would be in that location, great. And if you come across the oem controller and you want to switch you know where it goes.

But...with the oem you may have to get it activated in the pcm, not sure.

Also be sure to check all your fuses in the kick panel and power distribution box under the hood. You maybe missing some fuses to send the power back to the 7 pin connector.

I thought all the Fords had the plug in the same place. Has anyone had a truck where it is not? Just wondering.

Identified a fuse and a power relay required to sent 12VDC to the 7 pin. Amazon Prime is a great thing, will be here in 2 days.
Already tested it works by swapping a relay and a fuse temporarily,

Wiring harness showed up today (Ordered Saturday on Amazon Prime). Plugged it in, reinstalled the trim panel, mounted the controller, done in 15 minutes. Backed up to my trailer and tested. Good to go. Figure I saved at least $150 from what the hitch shop would have charged.

Thanks to all who steered me in the right direction.
