52 parking light assembly

Needs some help.

How do you remove/replace the 52 F1 parking light assembly? Does it come out from the the front.

Thanks

the lens and retainer ring come off from the front, the whole assembly has 2 screws in the bottom that you can access from under the truck. Good luck, they are probably rusted in place.

1948/56 Ford Truck Parts Catalog available on a C/D from hipoparts.com .. but this catalog does not have body parts for 1948/52.

1944/52 Ford Passenger Car & Truck Body Parts Catalog is long out of print. There's no C/D available, so your only options are to get one used, ebay is the usual source, or...

faxonautolit.com (store located in Riverside CA) has reprinted this catalog, but it's half the size of the original and pricey: 75 bucks.

If you want you can replace just the lamp socket section as needed, I get them on eBay. I am playing on my phone so I don't have pictures but if you check my build #2 thread there are pictures.

Bill/Dave

Thanks for the information.
Bulb fits loose in socket. Might as well just replace whole assembly

Thanks again

Thanks Dave

Great pictures. Like what you have done. I will look on eBay for that type of socket.

Looked at NAPA but their sockets have a flange and grips on them.

Thanks again

here ya go, less than a dollar a piece. if you search on "1156 socket" in ebay parts you will find the auctions. There are auctions for a pair if needed but I buy in bulk
