Center or "third" brake light
How the heck do I remove the center brake light in my '98 high top e150 (bulb burned out?)? There are two screws on the outside. I remove them but I can't get the light assembly out or lens cover off. I gently pryed with a screw driver using a rag against the painted area around it to preven paint damage. It won't budge! I did slightly crack the inside of the light when prying so I'm afraid to pry any harder. I can't find access the the back side of the light through the inside of the van. Could there be screws on the back side? It is a Ford brand light assembly, not an aftermarket light. I suspect it is the same light assembly used on a non-hig-top because it says Ford on it along with a part number. Help?
The next time I'm back in the town where it was built I'm going to show it to the dealer.
