I chose black because that's the color Henry intended it to be. . .
Well not exactly, he pick one color to speed up production on his record fast assembly line lol, that said my last 2 trucks were black, this time I wanted something I wanted, not just what the dealer had, so I chose blue! But then they told me I couldn't have blue cas blue isn't a platinum color! So ruby red it was! And now I can see why it's the only paid color! Other then the white.
I was a little partial to the magnetic since green is extinct but every other Chivrolet or Gimmic in the area is the dark gray. The front of these look enough like the GM front end without trying to blend in and yes there are a few gold gm too, mostly old farts. Am I becoming one of them? Maybe some camo hood letters?
I have had 2003,2005,2009 all some shade of red. Also a 96 blue,92 black and silver and the first that I ordered was a 88 red and black. Wanted a bronze fire with carbou. Then after looking at the fifth wheel decided shadow black/carbou would look much better. So it is CC LB DRW with all the goodies excerpt the chrome package. Still list at $75K. ETA 1 Jan. Really enjoying all the pics...
I wish ford would bring back to the two tone paint schemes back. Light light blue on dark blue, etc etc. This would work well on this body style like it did on earlier ford pickups. Oh well.
I'm sure you've been asked already but what lift and tires? They look great and I have the same truck on order.
No lift. Duratrac 275/65/20, but Nitto finally released the 295/65/20 Ridge Grapplers so I'm changing them out next week. I ordered 3 different leveling kits, but don't see the need for one. This truck is a gasser, the Diesel engines must just weigh that much more. I put on the stubby antenna, the tuff skinz chrome accents and tinted the front windows. Also adding another 10" sub under the backseat.
Caribou for us, it will match our trailer best. And it was the only color wife and I could agree on. I guess we won't see many others. Our 450 will have a matching tow body as well.
