truck bed & paint code
Until we can see it, feel it & drive it ,,,, all we can do is sit around & stew until we get the call from our dealer to come & get it! We know the 2017's are aluminum but to what extent? Are both the inner & outer wall of the truck bed aluminum or just the exterior quarter panels? Our 2009 F150 flareside has steel inner walls on the truck bed but the outer exterior walls (rear quarter panels) are poly-something or fiber glass. Are both sides of the 2017 SD tailgate aluminum? Our '09 F150 is steel on both sides. We intend to have a local paint shop two-tone our 2017 SD metallic blue jean SuperCab & paint the lower strip Ingot Silver (UX). Should be a nice contrast. Using the code UX ---- will that be sufficient or is there another code we should pass along to the body shop?

Have you thought of just doing a vinyl wrap? Not permanent like paint. Just my opinion. I am wrapping my chrome Lariat bumpers to match my Magnetic two tone lower section and if I want the chrome look back, I'll just pull off the wrap.
