The problem with the SuperDuty bed bots is 2 fold
1. They are a self taping bolt that strips of any antiseeze you may put on.
2. the metal clips rot away and then when you go to remove the bolts, the clips break and just spin.
You would be MUCH better off with a regular Nut and Bolt

The bolts I got were not the self tap type. While they do come with J-nuts, or body nuts they are of a thick metal and the nuts are a hex nut that one can put a wrench on.
Did you use hex head bolts?

All I ever use are grade 8, 1/2" bolts and nylock nuts
