Installing flashing light

Installing flashing light
I have a amber flashing light that I use for snow plowing. I had a truck cap on my truck so I used the magnetic base for the light which has left some rust marks on my truck cap. I now have a back rack on the truck instead. I want to mount the light on the back rack. Is there a place that I can get the 12 volt plug thru into the cab without cutting the plug off? The truck is a 2013 F250 single cab. Thanks.

Crawl under the truck and look on the back of the cab, drivers side just between the bed and the cab. There should be a rubber plug just above cab floor level. Depending on your accessory plug, you may be able to get it through that plug. You'll have to pull away the insulation inside the cab where the penetration is, but it's not that big of an issue to push in back in place.
There should also be air flapper vents for the cab on the back cab wall. You may be able to snake your cable through there.

On our company trucks here at work(inside a plant), we just run them off the cab in the passenger door jamb, across the sun visor and mirror down to the 12v plug. It never gets in the way, water doesn't come in, and you could easily remove it when not plowing if you wanted. Just a thought.
