Where in the world is the connection for the cab lights on a 2008 Reg cab F250?
I've got both the driver and passenger kick panels off, but I can't find the plug anywhere.
The plug doesn't quite look like the ones that I've seen pictures of, instead of a large rectangular block, I have a simple 4 prong circle (2 prongs used, 2 open). I think this is probably because my truck did not come satellite radio ready (no reciever, AM/FM only)
anybody have a detailed description of where this connection might be?
Ahh... Got ya... The end your looking for is listed as "behind left hand side of instrument panel". Unfortunately it is not very clear, but there is a trim panel on the left side of the instrument panel that you may want to remove and take a look behind there. That is where it appears that you can get access from...
after reading up, and before posting this, the 08's seem to be random...either driver or passenger side. I am focusing on the passenger side, but ran out of light today
every piece of trim I can get to on the outsides of the dash are sitting on my floorboard tonight...that's both sides. I'm taking the headliner out tomorrow (yes, out... I've found that extended cabs and 3+3's are too hard to get out and easier to work around, but the reg cab headliner will fit right out the door) There is one set of wires to follow down the passenger side A pillar (dome maplights I guess), but I can't find where they connect. I'm guessing if I find that, I'll find the right connector
No luck, all I can find is an 8 pin rectangular connection attached to the harness that plugs into the headlight switch. ...it doesn't match the 4 pin round connection on my new harness, and none of the wires match. Nothing on the passenger side so far.
If You Have Factory Wire Harness For Lamps Then Look Inside Cab On Drivers Side Under Dash Up Above E-brake Assm. Plug Is Attached At Cab Wall. Its There You Have To Look Deep Upinside Dash Above E-brake Assm.
it's a good thing my arm isn't any bigger...it was all I could do to get it connected.
The exact location (on this truck) it was at the very extreme left of the cab wall, on the OUTSIDE of the dashboard frame on the driver side.. The connector is not visible from any place...you have to feel it out.
